Before closing the book on Hudson Mills, the Mulligan Tour took a moment to acknowledge someone whose presence meant more than any scorecard. Bill Gordon — longtime league historian, recap writer, and one of the cornerstones of this tour’s institutional memory — was in the clubhouse at the Senior Open, and that alone made Saturday a better day. Bill has been navigating some significant medical challenges this year that have kept him away from his usual MT duties, and while others have done their best to fill a role that frankly cannot be fully filled, his absence has been felt. Seeing him at Hudson Mills was a reminder of what this tour is really about — the people, the history, and the community that makes a recreational golf league something worth showing up for year after year. The entire Mulligan Tour family is keeping Bill in their thoughts and prayers as he continues his fight. Get well, Bill. The historian’s chair is waiting.
