Tyler Floyd scorched the front nine at Beacon Hill with a 26, undoubtably one of the best nine hole scores in Tour history. He played the back in a ho-hum one under par to finish with the best round of the season on Tour at 11 under par 60. Jonathan Barnes took 2nd at 4 under par 67, Rick Floyd took 3rd at 3 under 68 and Willi Hesse slid into 4th at 2 under 69. On course prizes went to the Dunmore brothers, Chris and Rich.Â
Notables: Hesse, Noah Kline, Helen Puffenberger and Mike Lee all hit 10 fairways. Tyler topped the field with 13 greens hit to 12 for Barnes and 10 for Puffenberger. Chuck Withey topped Tyler with 29 putts to 30. It was a scoring fest at Beacon Hill starting with Tyler’s 5 birdies, 3 eagles and the 2nd Albatross of the weekend. Barnes had 7 birdies and 1 eagle as did Noah Kline. 7 birdies for Brian Pieszchala, 6 birdies for Rick Floyd, 5 birdies and an eagle for Justin McCue and Hesse had 5 birdies and the 3rd Albatross of the weekend! Tommy O’Neill and Phil Parent Jr had chip-ins. Tyler’s Albatross was a 67 yard hole out.Â
