The Mulligan Tour’s 2026 Q School wrapped up Sunday with considerably kinder conditions than the windswept ordeal players endured just a day earlier. The calmer weather brought out better golf across the board, and when the nets were tallied, two players stood alone at the top — Kelly Scheff and Patrick Patterson, each posting a remarkable net 77 to share medalist honors. Scheff, who fought through Q School 1 just the day before, turned right around and delivered her best round of the young season. Patterson, in his second year on the Mulligan Tour and still building his game, matched her stroke for stroke on the net card — a statement round that signals he’s finding his footing fast.
Just off the pace, a cluster of strong performances defined the middle of the leaderboard. Greg Fobare and Charles Withey both finished at net 79, while Kevin Gregoire joined them in that group with a net 79 of his own. Eric Kiekbusch rounded out the top six at net 82. The gross scorecard told its own story — four players broke or matched 86, with Brent Brevak, Mike Wassman, and Fobare all carding 86 while Gregoire came in one better at 85. On a day with less wind to hide behind, that kind of ball-striking earns some respect.
For the returning Q School 1 veterans, Sunday was a chance to sharpen the pencil. Withey was the standout improver, trimming 11 strokes off his net from Saturday — a sign he’s rounding into form at exactly the right time. David Wilson, Jamie Wilson, Jeff Keilitz, Vinnie Calles, and John Donitzen all made the trip back out and added rounds to their ledgers, building the competitive reps that matter when the real season begins.
With Q School now in the books, the Mulligan Tour heads into a well-earned Easter break before returning April 11th for the season opener — the Tin Cup Classic at Hickory Creek. Handicaps are set, scores are posted, and the field knows where it stands. If Q School proved anything, it’s that this group is ready to play.
