First time Labor captain Phil Parent drew up the right work rules to take a convincing 6 1/2 to 2 1/2Â win over Management Sunday. His 4-ball teams Elizabeth Jolliffe and Eric Kiekbusch, Paul Parent and Lance Evert, and himself with Jeff Feikens all swept the opening session to take a commanding lead, much to Management’s chagrin.
Management came back to split the Alternate Shot session and keep the negotiations open, with Chuck Withey and Greg Kline getting a point and Bill Gordon and Scott Wilsey getting a split with Captain Phil and Jeff. Paul and Lance took the Labor point in session 2.
Jolliffe and Kiekbusch ended the debate with a 4 & 2 win in the final session. Paul and Lance completed a sweep of their 3 matches for the best record of the day. Rich Dunmore and Scott Wilsey had the last word for Management. Phil and Jeff took 2 1/2 points for Labor and Scott Wilsey led Management with 1 1/2.
Phil won with an all-rookie team! The first since the inception of the event.
