Rain Washes Out Quad-Tour Challenge; Moran Keeps the Trophy — For Now

The Quad Tour Challenge was held (sort-of), but the weather had other plans for the Mulligan Tour’s Central Division on Sunday at Fox Creek Golf Club in Livonia. With three of five groups having completed hole 12, the skies opened and the 2026 Quad-Tour Challenge was called — falling agonizingly short of the threshold needed to declare an official result. Twenty more minutes of dry weather and the tournament stands. Instead, scorecards get stuffed back in pockets and everyone heads for the parking lot.

No one processed the rainout with more quiet satisfaction than defending champion Tom Moran. The 2025 Quad-Tour trophy stays on his mantle for at least a few more weeks, unthreatened by a leaderboard that never got to finish writing its story. The field had assembled, the pro scores were on the board, and Fox Creek was playing — it just wasn’t meant to be on June 14th.

The good news: the Quad-Tour Challenge has been rescheduled for July 5th at Fox Creek, complete with a brand new Pro-Am format. A fresh draw, fresh pro scores, and a fresh chance for someone to finally pry that trophy away from Moran. The Match Play Championship at Huron Meadows is still looming on the horizon, World Ranking positions are still very much in play, and Fox Creek will get its tournament. Moran’s borrowed time starts now.
