Jeff Klipa made a key eagle on the 11th hole for a 3 shot swing on Ron Hiestand, then survived a charge from Erika Fitzpatrick to take his 2nd East Title. Klipa finished with a 2 under par 70 and a 2 shot win over Fitzpatrick, Ron H. and Helen Puffenberger who tied for 2nd at 74.Â
Notables: Nancy Hiestand led with 12 fairways hit to 10 for Rick Floyd. Ron Hiestand, Fizpatrick and Tom W Litzler all led with 29 putts. Fitzpatrick had 6 birdies and Klipa had 5 birdies and the key eagle. Litzler and Scott Wilsey had chip-ins. Ron moves to 2nd in all-time East Championship winnings, behind Joe Brandenburg. Klipa moves to 3rd. Ron H. Played his way into a spot in the Tour Championship. Klipa played-in to the Commissioner’s Cup with his Tour leading 32nd win in his 469th start
